Drive shareholder and company value and further customer education and interest by positioning and strengthening Spirit's image and vision among key stakeholders, including media, team members, customers and investors. Ensure a positive, competent and consistent image of the airline is clearly and accurately projected to all Spirit audiences with effective strategic external and internal communications efforts, including both proactive and reactive initiatives.
Press Releases/Media Statements: Support Director, Corporate Communications in developing and executing press releases and media statement messaging to build awareness and understanding of Spirit's unique business model and customer benefits, new market/new route developments, company news and policies, and other news announcements. Assist in ensuring messaging is consistent with our overall brand and vision and is understandable by all.
Media Inquiries: Support and assist with media seeking comment or information from the company. Respond to all media inquiries in a timely manner assisting them in accurately reporting on the company in a way that is consistent with our messaging.
Media Interviews/Speaking Engagements/Presentations: Coordinate media interviews and speaking engagements to ensure the company's message is told to our audiences in the way we want it told. Develop talking points (and presentations when applicable) for each interview.
Press Conferences/Special Events: Coordinate and execute press conferences, community relations and special events to announce and further build awareness of news announcements and Spirit's brand.
IROPs/Crisis Communications: Support and assist during IROPs (irregular operations) and crisis situations. Present accurate and timely information reflecting Spirit's policies and actions during and following IROPs and crisis situations. Work closely with other departments, i.e. OCC, operations, stations, inflight, marketing, legal, customer service, etc., when researching and fact checking messaging for accuracy. Assist in developing/drilling/updating Crisis Communications Emergency Response Plan in alignment with overall company Emergency Response Plan.
Customer Relations/Reservations Communications: Assist front-line customer-facing areas of the company, i.e. customer relations, reservations, stations, inflight, etc., in ensuring they have tools and messaging for assisting customers that is consistent with Spirit's overall messaging and image.
Internal Communications: Support in developing and executing internal communications efforts to increase understanding of Spirit's brand, vision and news among all Spirit team members.
